This performance was part of Avex's 1999 summer event, Avex 1999 Natsu Matsuri. The event, like a-nation later, was a multi-artist concert event held during the summer, with a compilation CD distributed alongside the event; unlike a-nation, however, it focused on Avex's dance acts rather than J-Pop. Two (or perhaps more) nights of the event were focused on J-pop acts, including this one.

"On August 25, the last part of summer vacation, those under 18 years old were allowed to enter the venue ([[velfarre]]), and those who came to the event must have had an unforgettable summer vacation."

The concert was MC'd by the two members of [[Tokyo Purin]].

The show began at 7:00 PM, but Ayu's segment began two hours in, at 9:00 PM. It was filmed live & broadcast in realtime on Space Shower TV.

Admission was free with the purchase of the velfarre Avex Summer Festival 1999 CD or [[SUPER EUROBEAT vol. 100]].
